Day 8 Time Off- Avoidance... NOT!

I made a bunch of journals today...well 5, so a small bunch. I gave 12 days journal #107 to my friend Sean, then I left 12 days journal#108 at Oso. Then I did a whole lot of talking, milling, walking, musing. Life is grand.

And on a completely different note:

“Have you ever blamed someone else when you were actually responsible?“ is the question in 12 days journal #137

and no I am not avoiding something....so there.

  1. Ummm pretty much every day. I am working on seeing my own stuff though. Blame is a funny thing, for some reason humans just love to make someone, something responsible for everything that goes wrong. Luckily we don't have a senate sub committee for every action in life in order to find out who is responsible. Imagine if taking responsibility for an error just meant that it was a learning experience for all. Then maybe we wouldn't spend so much time covering our asses and could get on with living our lives and having fun.

  2. I have in the past. Mostly, though, I've been the person who ends up taking the blame for other people (sometimes by choice, but mostly not). I've been trying to practice exactly what Chris said above: taking responsibility for my mistakes isn't something to beat myself up over; it's an experience I need to learn and grow from.
